Maud, aka Kristine Hoff, grew up in Northern Norway, where the sun either never shines or never sets, and has over the past years built a distinctive electronic pop universe drawing on influences from hyperpop, 90s and 2000s pop, trance, and club music.

Maud has received praise both nationally and internationally, and has performed concerts in cities like London, Rotterdam, Copenhagen, and at festivals such as Øyafestivalen, Tallinn Music Week in Estonia, BIME PRO in Spain, Vill Vill Vest, Trondheim Calling, and the Arctic Arts Festival. In 2023, she was awarded Arctic Talent, Northern Norway’s largest music grant, and was also part of the international talent development program Keychange.
Since she began releasing music in 2020, she has already released three self-produced albums and an EP, received multiple national and international radio listings, released a number of remixes, and collaborated with several international artists, songwriters, and producers.
On her third album, Chronicles of Maud (2026), Maud takes a clear step forward toward a more refined and honest pop sound. The album includes, among other tracks, the independently released lead single “The Maze,” which has surpassed 400,000 streams.
Alongside her artistic practice, she has experience in music-related research, as well as teaching and mentoring in music production and songwriting. She has taught at university level, as well as worked with children and young people, including at learning environments that support and encourage underrepresented genders in music and music technology. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electronic music from the University of Agder, as well as a degree in journalism from Oslo Met.
